How do I become
a Dreamland Fan?

My Mother Divine.

I first became aquainted with all things John Water's when I saw Divine on UK tv back in 1984, singing "You Think You're a Man." I couldnt help but think he had a look of my mother, but only more over weight, and a touch more eyeshadow. The similarity was so great, that my friends would come for sunday lunch to marvel at my mother!

My first movie I saw was Female Trouble, but it wasnt till I was 17, and I spotted it in a Video store one day, and I hired it for two weeks, as the shop wouldnt sell it to me. From that day fourth my life was never complete without a quote from one of the many movies that John Water's made.

I collect as much as I can, and even plan on having a Divine tattoo done on my arm next year when I return to San Francisco, to get more work done on the tatoo's I already have had done. If anything as inspired me to do as much that is considered crazy ( like sending turds to disliked people), I have only John Water's and Divine to thank.
