ABOUT ME

As the Director of Production at interactive design studio Funny Garbage, I ensure the smooth progression of all the company’s projects from planning to launch, keeping them under budget and on schedule. I manage the company’s producers and project managers, oversee the allocation of staff and freelance resources and collaborate with our Creative Directors and Department Managers to make sure the needs of every project are being met.

As an Executive Producer, I am the lead on Funny Garbage’s largest-scale and highest profile projects. My diverse range of work includes massive front-end sites, COPPA compliant sites, CMS’s and collaborative authoring environments, databases, social networks, blogs, intranets, extranets, custom Google search and map development, open source development, user-generated content applications, rich media advertising, focus group and usability testing, multi-player games, content development and animation. Some of my recent projects include New York City’s Alliance for the Arts Cultural Database and the Smithsonian Institute’s Ocean Portal. I have also produced projects for National Geographic, Mattel, Nike, Viacom, PBS, Cranium and Yahoo!

I am a problem solver, a negotiator and a scope manager. I’m also able to identify potential risks to a production before they arise. No two projects are ever the same. And since our industry changes all the time, I keep up with trends and adjust my production process to the ever-changing standards of the internet. Over the past few years, I have put many successful new processes in place at Funny Garbage, testing and revising them as needed.

I especially enjoy and encourage the collaborative nature of interactive development. It’s been a very rewarding career so far, and I look forward to expanding my experience by working with new people and new clients.

• Creating and maintaining the project schedule
