John Waters directing

John Waters is best known as the director of outrageous 1970’s undergrounds films such as Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble and Desperate Living. In the 80s and 90s, he made the jump to mainstream audiences with Polyester, Cry Baby and Hairspray.

To date, John Waters has written and directed a total of 12 feature length films, beginning with Mondo Trasho in 1969, all the way through 2004 with A Dirty Shame.
